Yom HaZikaron (Remembrance Day for Fallen Israeli Soldiers)—this year commemorated on the night of April 29 and continuing the next day.

A memorial day for the 25,417soldiers killed in Israel's wars and the 5,229 civilians murdered in terrorist attacks. All places of entertainment are closed, flags are flown at half-mast, people visit military cemeteries, official memorial ceremonies are held and the country comes to a halt during a siren while observing two minutes of silence.
